Sorveteria do Centro

A chef-run ice cream shop, not a dessert-menu afterthought — Rueda and Izawa built a dedicated storefront with its own on-site production and its own invented flavour logic, distinct from the fine-dining restaurants that made the couple famous.

What we know

  • Ice cream made entirely on-site with no artificial dyes or flavourings ('totalmente produzidos lá sem corantes e aromatizantes artificiais')
  • Waffle cones also made in-house
  • Run by the couple behind A Casa do Porco and Bar da Dona Onça, two of the city's most internationally recognised restaurants, which they mention in the same breath as the ice cream shop
  • Menu mixes plain classics (leite, chocolate ao leite, chocolate 70%, morango, jabuticaba) with invented combinations (leite + bacon + caramelo + chocolate + porcopoca; goiabada cremosa + pimenta rosa + calda de goiaba)
  • Central São Paulo location by Terraço Itália and the Copan building, in a small storefront that regularly draws a queue
