นัฐพร ไอศครีมรสไทย (Nuttaporn Thai Ice Cream)

A three-generation, single-address coconut ice cream shop where the current owner names her own sourcing decisions (a single mango farm, a single coconut supplier) with the same specificity a gelateria uses for milk provenance, and where the shop's own account of its serving method — a ladle instead of a scoop, because no scoop existed here yet — is a genuinely distinctive, checkable origin story rather than marketing language.

What to order
กะทิสด (fresh coconut), the founding flavour, per Sanook and Gourmet & Cuisine; or the มะม่วงมหาชนก (Mahachanok mango) made from the single named source farm

What we know

  • Distinctive granular 'snowflake' texture, unlike bingsu or dairy ice cream, produced from a coconut milk, fresh milk and ice base rather than cream, per Urban Creature
  • Traditionally served as a curved dollop shaped by a ladle rather than a round scoop, because ice cream scoops were not available in Thailand when the shop began, per Urban Creature
  • Owner Nuttaporn Rungrotsuwan says every flavour on the menu was self-developed through trial and repeated customer tasting over more than 70 years, per Sanook
  • Mango flavour made only with Mahachanok mangoes from a single named farm, A.S. Farm in Pong Nam Ron, and the young-coconut flavour sourced from one supplier in Sam Phran, specifically to keep colour and flavour consistent, per Gourmet & Cuisine
  • Eight to eleven Thai-style toppings — sticky rice, Job's tears, sugar palm seed, roasted peanuts, red beans, corn, taro — were added one at a time over the decades in direct response to customer requests, per Urban Creature and Sanook
